Inspire Al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula Magazine Issue 6, July 2011

July 19, 2011 in Documents

The following is the sixth issue of “Inspire” magazine reportedly produced by Al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula’s media organization Al-Malahem.  The following file has been edited to remove password protection and security settings.  Due to a number of factors, including previous attempts by Dutch authorities to shut down this website, we have also redacted a very small amount of information from pages 41-45 of the document as this section contains instructions on making Acetone Peroxide, an explosive, and it is our understanding that publication of this information could potentially be considered a violation of 18 U.S.C. § 842(p).  Thus, we have removed the crucial values in the recipe, allowing the article to remain largely legible without having the potential to instruct would-be bombers. There are five previous issues of Inspire magazine, all of which have been published by this site, and we have continually expressed our desire for readers to scrutinize the authenticity of the material provided in this publication.  Earlier this year we achieved a minor victory in this regard when we finally succeeded, after more than a year of labor, in forcing mainstream media sources to admit that the first issue of Inspire magazine was released with 64 pages of ASCII cupcake recipes from the Ellen DeGeneres television show. As with all five previous issues of the magazine we must emphasize that this material is provided, as always, for educational and informational purposes.
