Concept for the Use of Air-to-Ground Firing Ranges in the Federal Republic of Germany

This shows the need and the training opportunities in the DEU for air-ground gunnery training of air attack forces of the Bundeswehr and NATO forces and resources in conjunction with the ground-based air defenses and ground forces on. The concept takes into account the structural changes in the Bundeswehr into account and is aligned with current and foreseeable Einsatzszenaren modern armed forces. The concept is necessary to adapt to unforeseen future developments and update accordingly as circumstances require.

The Commonwealth of Virginia’s Pandemic Influenza Plan addresses the Commonwealth’s response to and recovery from a pandemic influenza in a comprehensive and coordinated manner to ensure essential services across all sectors of state government can be maintained throughout the event period, which may last as long as 18-24 months. The Virginia Department of Health (VDH) developed an Influenza Pandemic Plan (Health Component) in 2002, which was subsequently updated in 2006 and 2007.

Concept for NATO Land Powers Operating in Cold Weather Conditions

Individuals and units must always take precautions against the special conditions caused by weather. This is especially true for winter conditions with low temperatures, snow, wind, darkness, humidity, mist and rain. Units need to survive and be capable to conduct operations in such environment. This can only be achieved by gaining experiences through training and exercising under such conditions.

Meth Lab Hazards to Emergency Responders

In November 2008, two special education teachers in South Bend, Indiana were arrested after a meth lab exploded in their home and caused a fire. According to law enforcement statistics, in 2008 the state of Indiana had a 31% increase in methamphetamine lab seizures since 2007. Recent disruption of meth “super labs” in Mexico may have opened up the market to smaller producers throughout the nation to supply demand for the drug.
